Cold snaps are our busiest days. A spring that has been wearing for years often gives out on the first sub-zero morning, which is why we keep common parts on the truck.
The opener strains and the door stops after a few inches, it slams shut or won’t stay up, or you can see a split in the spring on the bar above the door.
Don’t lift the door by hand or keep running the opener. A broken spring leaves the door dangerously heavy, so leave it closed and call us.
The light comes on but nothing moves, the door stops and reverses for no reason, or the opener has become slow and noisy.
Check the remote batteries and that nothing blocks the safety sensors near the floor. If the opener strains or hums, a broken spring may be the real cause.
Loud scraping or popping as the door moves, a door that sticks at the same spot every time, or a bent or loose track.
If the door has come off its track, don’t force it or keep pressing the opener. Leave it where it is and call; forcing it can bend the track or panels. We carry most common parts on the truck.
A complimentary yearly tune-up and safety check to keep your door running smoothly. No code needed. Just ask when you book.
