The opener strains and the door stops after a few inches, it slams shut or won’t stay up, or you can see a split in the spring on the bar above the door.
Leave the door where it is. Springs hold the door’s full weight, and replacing them safely takes the right tools and parts. Call (612) 472-2221 and we’ll get a New Hope tech out.
The light comes on but nothing moves, the door stops and reverses for no reason, or the opener has become slow and noisy.
Try a fresh battery and make sure the sensor lights by the floor are both lit. If it still won’t run, call us before forcing the door. Call (612) 472-2221 and we’ll get a New Hope tech out.
Loud scraping or popping as the door moves, a door that sticks at the same spot every time, or a bent or loose track.
If the door has come off its track, don’t force it or keep pressing the opener. Leave it where it is and call; forcing it can bend the track or panels. Call (612) 472-2221 and we’ll get a New Hope tech out.
A complimentary yearly tune-up and safety check to keep your door running smoothly. No code needed. Just ask when you book.
